Wandering, it’s what we do. We take ourselves all over the globe in search of riches, excitement or even the next double whiskey on the rocks. Often we are traveling to and from work or on a plane moving to the next business venue. Wherever we wander, we need to bring items with us that we need for our job or to make us feel comfortable outside of our home or battle position. The Wanderer captures all of the reasons and needs in its low profile, high functioning design. We used the cues from our other waxed canvass offerings. The Gypsy and the Throwback were the vanguard for the Wanderer.
The Wanderer is made of Waxed canvass and has waterproof zippers as an upgrade. Carry your precious items in wet conditions without a worry. The Bag has external measurements of 20.5 inches long, 11.5 inches tall and 4.5inches deep. The carrying strap is made from seat belt webbing and is fully adjustable to fit the petite and the brawny users. On either end of the bag are pockets, one, zippered and flap closed, that expands to carry a water bottle. And the other end features an open stash pocket that could hold a small umbrella, med blowout kit or 2 AR mags. The flap that covers the body of the bag is secured with 2 magnetic snaps that seem to find their home without even directing them where to go. On the this flap you will also find the beloved GGG skull Icon on a leather patch. The flap itself has storage on the outside. 2 9X5 inch zippered pockets are lined with a soft tricot fabric to ensure that your glasses, jewelry, smartphone or other delicate item remains unscratched. Upon opening the flap, you are greeted by the Grey Ghost Logo on our woven label. The front of the main body features two vertical zippers that when pulled down opens a gate that allows the user to get to smaller items that you would need on a journey of trip to the office. The reverse side of the gate has two zippered pockets to organize loose small items. On the back wall of this compartment are 4 varying sized pockets, made of stretch mesh, for securing larger items the size of back up batteries and rifle mags. There is also a pen pocket to carry the “stabby” pen. On the very top of this part of the Wanderer you will find a 14 inch zipper allowing you to access a generous pocket that would carry an iPad Mini sized device.
The main interior compartment is divided in a 2/3- 1/3 configuration. The smaller in size pocket designed to carry your laptop. The rest of the volume could be taken up with all of the normal travel items, noise cancelling headphones, a rolled up jacket, and even a PDW rifle with the stock collapsed. There is a very simple side release buckle and webbing spanning the top of the bag to allow you to secure the contents of the bag in the flap is open and the bag tips over.
Low profile is the law for some of our customers. The wanderer will allow you to access your off body carry concealed pistol from a zippered pocket on the very back of the bag. The pocket is pleated to the inside of the bag so that you will not “print” the pistol to the observing crowd. That pocket is 15 inches wide across the back of the bag and it is 10.5 inches deep. Plenty of room for most commonly carried pistols and spare mags. The pocket is lined with a loop material that your hook backed holsters will stick into with maximum adjustability.
