ASP Safety Set

This Instructor set provides vital items of safety equipment for use during law enforcement training.
Included with each set are:

It is critical that the Instructor maintain control during Defensive Measures training. At the sound of a whistle, all activity must immediately stop. The ASP Whistle Set combines a blue protective Tooth Guard and a solid brass Acme Whistle. A distinctive red Instructor Lanyard is attached.

Mouthguards provide added safety during training. The protective carrier helps maintain sanitation of both the Mouthguard and the Whistle Set.

Impact Weapon training is a contact activity. It requires dynamic simulations. As a result, it is possible that injuries may occur during the instructional process. Some of these injuries should be treated through immediate care that places ICE on the injured area, applies COMPRESSION and ELEVATES the affected area. The Cold Packs in this set allow Icing, Compression and Elevation activities to be implemented immediately by the Instructor. Each Instructor Safety Set consists of two interactive chemical Cold Packs.

Each pack maintains temperature in excess of the 20 minutes recommended for the immediate treatment of athletic injuries. The protective carrier allows the Instructor to conveniently transport the chemical packs to each training class without fear of damage. Replacement chemical Cold Packs are available from ASP.

Two rolls of 2" wide Elastic Wrap which have a self-adhesive coating are also included in this set. These items may be cut to length with the Folding Scissors in the case. Wraps do not require metal clips which can cause injury during training.

A roll of 3/4" wide Athletic Tape is included in this carrier. It may be employed during Countermeasures training as a protective wrap or in conjunction with other training care activities. A small Bandage dispenser is also included. Replacement Elastic Wrap and Athletic Tape are available from ASP.

A Warm-Up Card summarizes the pre- and post-training activities outlined in the ASP Training Manuals and used during ASP training programs.
