Acts and Prove - When do I use this?

Now that you understand what ACTS & PROVE means, when should you use this safety training?

Every time you pick up a firearm, you WILL do ACTS & PROVE.
Every time BEFORE you pass a firearm to someone else you WILL do ACTS & PROVE.
Every time IMMEDIATELY after someone passes a firearm to you, you WILL do ACTS & PROVE.
Every time BEFORE you put down a firearm, you WILL do ACTS & PROVE.

Wait? Someone just ACTS & PROVE in front of me, why would I do it again?
Once a firearm is passed to you, you are now responsible for all actions from that point on.
If the person who just did "ACTS & PROVE" in front of you missed an important step, and you have an accident, that now becomes your negligence.
There is no excuse for not doing this critical important safety step!

Wait? The person handing me the firearm has been shooting for 45 years. I trust them! Why would I do it again?
Regardless of how long someone has been handling firearms, it is your responsibility to ensure that YOU are always handling a firearm safely.
It's best to assume other people made a mistake and to check yourself.

Can I ever put down a loaded firearm?

NEVER! Under no circumstance should a loaded firearm ever be laid on the ground, leaned up against a tree or fence, or handed to someone else.
Always do ACTS & PROVE before a firearm leaves your hands.
