To use simply zoom in on a known object of 18 inches, like from the top of a whitetail’s back to the bottom of the chest cavity, until it’s framed in one of several brackets incorporated into the reticle…then read the range on a scale in the lower right-hand quadrant of the sight picture. Once you know the range, handy Bullet Drop Compensating hold-over marks provide accurate shot placement out to 600 yards. These aiming marks have been calibrated for .308 Win. and .223 Rem. ballistics – but work very well with many other popular Cartridges. The 3-9x40mm M40 Tactical Hunter is offered in an attractive matte black finish.
