The top of the line! The Helix Basecamp Bluetooth has a rechargeable battery and allows full control from your iOS smartphone or tablet via bluetooth, no wifi or cell signal required. Forgot the lantern on the table outside and already zipped up your sleeping bag? Want to shed some light when something goes bump in the night? If you enjoy some technology, the Helix Bluetooth has all the bells and whistles. The application, available for iOS, offers full control of up to eight Helix lanterns so tell your friends to bring theirs, too.

The Helix Basecamp Bluetooth shares the same great foundation as Helix Basecamp – a collapsible globe and folding legs aid in wide light dispersion, plus multiple hanging options. This particular lantern is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery, cutting down on disposable battery use and saving a bunch of cash over the life of the lantern. A soft blue light emits from the globe when the lantern is plugged in and charging.

The power dial controls dimmable white and red LEDs in the same intuitive manner as old-school gas lanterns and a physical lockout prevents accidental turn-ons.

In addition to being rechargeable, a built-in USB port allows for charging out for your phone, GPS or other compatible devices. Both blue and green indication lights will turn on to let you know it is activated.

Plan to be away from power for a long time? The Helix Rechargeable can operate on 3 AA cells if needed.

360 LIGHT

This light is designed for area illumination, and disperses light in a 360 degree pattern to light up a campsite or other area.

DIMMABLE LED

Dimmable LEDs provide the precise output needed for a given task, and help conserve battery power for maximum efficiency. Sometimes we use the word dimmability, which isn't exactly a word yet, but we're very fond of it and have faith it will become one.

IPX4

These lights are designed for water resistance to splashing and quick dunkings. If a light with a IPX4 rating is accidentally submerged for a longer period of time, the batteries should be removed and the cabinets should be carefully inspected for signs of battery leakage. If water has entered the housing, the light should be dried and batteries replaced.

MAXBRIGHT LED

The highest quality LED available. Princeton Tec’s Maxbright LED is extremely bright and efficient. This single LED emits a smooth, powerful, white light useful for a wide range of tasks. Princeton Tec uses collimators or reflectors with the Maxbright LED depending upon the application. Must yell "MAXBRIGHT" when saying term out loud.

RECHARGEABLE

Powered by a rechargeable power source, these lights allow you to plug either the light itself, or an included rechargeable battery in to refuel. Cut down on cost and waste generated by one use batteries.

ULTRABRIGHT LED

The Ultrabright LED is bright and efficient. The smooth, white, wide-beam light emitted by Ultrabright LEDs is ideal for close to mid-range tasks. Ultrabright LEDs are usually grouped together to offer a more powerful light source. Advances currently underway will continue to improve the efficiency and brightness of Ultrabright LEDs. "Ultrabright" can also be yelled when using the term in conversation, but not nearly as loud as "Maxbright".

BACKPACKING/HIKING

Planning to cover some ground and travel light? Maybe it’s the destination – or maybe it’s all the steps between. Either way, lights in this category will help you find your way (or enjoy right where you are) when the sun goes down. (Especially if something goes bump in the night.)

CAMPING

Sleeping under the stars and getting away from it all. Whether you need some light to bustle around the RV after lights out, set up your nomadic home for the night among the pines, or enjoy some campfire time with friends, family (or yourself), these products will serve you well. (Maybe even in a van down by the river, we don't judge.)

HUNT/FISH

Tree stands, duck blinds, jon boats, bass boats, streamside, dockside, backcountry camps – examples of places that have a tendency to be most productive around dawn or dusk. Check out these products to help you make the most of those hours. Also, if this icon is to scale, that is one big bass.

PREPAREDNESS

Light is an integral part of survival – whether you’re headed off the grid or experience a loss of power – having your own source of light at hand helps to keep you safe.

SAFETY/INDUSTRIAL

Does your job require work in less than ideal environments? Sometimes you need a little extra light, sometimes you need a primary light – and sometimes, that light needs to not only be bright, but be rated to work safely in hazardous conditions.
