.22LR Bolt Maintence

STOP!!

YOU MUST ENSURE YOUR FIREARM IS FULLY UNLOADED AND PROVED SAFE BEFORE USING!!

PROVE
POINT THE FIREARM IN THE SAFEST AVAILABLE DIRECTION.
REMOVE ALL AMMUNITION.

OBSERVE THE CHAMBER.
VERIFY THE FEEDING PATH.
EXAMINE THE BORE.

ONCE SAFE, YOU MAY PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEP.

STEP 1: REMOVE .22LR BOLT FROM THE UPPER BY SLIDING THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY OUT THE REAR.

STEP 2: REMOVE THE FIRING PIN RETAINING PIN FROM BOLT.

STEP 3: REMOVE THE FIRING PIN FROM BOLT.
A SLIGHT ANGLE WILL ALLOW THE FIRING PIN TO CLEAR THE EJECTOR ARM
remove firing pinSTEP 4: INSPECT FIRING PIN TIP AND FIRING PIN SPRING FOR WEAR.22 Firing Pin
STEP 5: REMOVE BOLT FROM EJECTOR RAIL
PULL BOLT BACK AROUND 0.250 INCH
(JUST TO CLEAR THE FEED RAMP ON .22LR CHAMBER ADAPTER)
WARNING, PULLING THE BOLT BACK TOO MUCH CAN CAUSE DAMAGE!remove from rail 2

LIGHTLY PULL THE BOLT AWAY FROM THE EJECTOR ARM. YOU WILL HEAR A LITTLE "CLICK" SOUND AS THE BOLT DISCONNECTS FROM THE ARM.remove from rail 3

ROTATE THE BOLT CLOCKWISE UNTIL COMPLETELY UPSIDE DOWN.
NOTE: THE BOLT IS UNDER SPRING PRESSURE. DO NOT LET GO WHILE DISASSEMBLING OR IT WILL SHOOT OFF CAUSING DAMAGE OR HARM.remove from rail 5

ALLOW THE BOLT TO TRAVEL FULLY FORWARD UNTIL FULLY SEPARATED.
NOTE: THE BOLT IS UNDER SPRING PRESSURE. DO NOT LET GO WHILE DISASSEMBLING OR IT WILL SHOOT OFF CAUSING DAMAGE OR HARM.
remove from rail 6STEP 6: IF THE EXTRACTOR NEEDS TO BE CHANGED, YOU CAN DO SO BY REMOVING THE TOP SCREW AND [1/8"] SIDE ROLL PIN WITH A PUNCH.
NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE THESE PARTS UNLESS YOU NEED TO REPLACE AN EXTRACTOR.
Remove Spring HousingSTEP 7: THE EXTRACTOR CAN NOW BE DRIVEN OUT IN EITHER DIRECTION BY USING A [5/64"] ROLL PIN PUNCH.Remove Extractor

STEP 8: THE PARTS CAN NOW BE REASSEMBLED BY FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS IN REVERSE.
NOTE: NEVER TRY TO FORCE PARTS TOGETHER! ALL PARTS SHOULD CONNECT EASILY.
BE CAREFUL DURING STEP (#5) WHEN RECONNECTING THE BOLT TO THE EJECTOR ARM.
FORCING THE PARTS TOGETHER IN THE WRONG MANNER CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EJECTOR ARM!
