For those with prescription eyewear, ESS has the solution. After lenses have been corrected by an optometrist and fit into the CDI™ Rx Inserts, these low-profile, Rx integrations slide into the CDI™ like any other replacement lens.
Important Note: The CDI™ sunglass frame is sold separately. Please be sure to include the CDI™ Sunglass as well if you don't already own one. One set of CDI™ Rx Inserts contains two lens carriers, a left and a right, and a lens template.
CDI™ Rx Insert lenses can be customized in any number of colors and treatments. Through the ESS Rx Filling Service, CDI™ Rx Insert lenses can be made in any of the following colors and options:
Clear
Smoke Gray
Vermillion
Mirrored Copper
Mirrored Silver
Polarized Mirrored Silver
Polarized Mirrored Copper
Polarized Mirrored Blue
Transitions Photochromic
Important safety note for CDI™ Rx Insert users operating in proximity to fragmentation hazards:
ESS strongly recommends the use of high-impact polycarbonate prescription lenses to optimize impact resistance in the CDI™ sunglass. High-impact polycarbonate prescription lens material will maximize the impact resistance of the system well beyond that offered by CR-39 resin or other common materials used in prescription lens manufacturing.
