Firearm Loading and Safeties

Once ACTS & PROVE is Completed, when can I load my firearm?
If you were to drive your car onto a ferry, would you leave the car motor running with the gear shifter left in DRIVE with your foot on the brake pedal for the entire ferry trip?
Of course not! You would put the car into PARK, apply the parking brake and turn OFF the motor.

The same principle applies to firearm safety.

It's my turn to shoot. Now what?
IF you are on the firing line, and it's your turn the shoot, only then will you load your firearm.
Once the firearm is loaded, you should immediately turn on the firearms safety.
Once you are ready to pull the trigger, turn the safety off, and commence shooting.
Once you are done shooting, attempt to apply the safety again and unload the firearm and complete ACTS & PROVE.

Following these steps will greatly reduce the chances of any accidents keeping yourself and other guests at the range safe!
