STOP!!

POINT THE FIREARM IN THE SAFEST AVAILABLE DIRECTION.
REMOVE ALL AMMUNITION.
OBSERVE THE CHAMBER.
VERIFY THE FEEDING PATH.
EXAMINE THE BORE.
ONCE SAFE, YOU MAY PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEP.

NOTE: WHILE NOT NEEDED IN MOST CASES, YOU MAY ADD A SMALL AMOUNT OF BLUE LOCTITE TO THE SCREW THREADS BEFORE INSTALLING FOR MORE PERMANENT INSTALLS.
DO NOT USE RED LOCTITE!
STEP 1: THREAD CASTLE NUT ONTO BUFFER TUBE UNTIL ALMOST BOTTOMED OUT. THEN SLIDE ON END PLATE.STEP 2: CAREFULLY THREAD BUFFER TUBE INTO LOWER RECEIVER. YOU WILL NEED TO DEPRESS THE BUFFER RETAINING PIN SO THAT THE BUFFER TUBE CAN PASS OVER IT TO KEEP IT IN PLACE.
STEP 3: ONCE BUFFER TUBE IS FULLY THREADED IN, SLIDE END PLATE FORWARD. ENSURE THE ENDPLATE IS SITTING FLUSH WITH THE LOWER RECEIVER AS SHOWN.
STEP 4: CAREFULLY TIGHTEN CASTLE NUT UNTIL SNUG. SPEC CALLS FOR ~40 FT-LBS (THIS IS NOT VERY MUCH! DO NOT TRY TO KILL IT.)
STEP 5: REASSEMBLY FIREARM AND FUNCTION TEST THE FIREARM WITHOUT USING ANY AMMUNITION. ENSURE THE BOLT CARRIER TRAVELS EASILY BEFORE LIVE FIRING.
ONCE TESTING IS COMPLETE, YOUR PARTS ARE READY FOR USE!
