Talon Muzzle Brake Installation

STOP!!

YOU MUST ENSURE YOUR FIREARM IS FULLY UNLOADED AND PROVED SAFE BEFORE USING!!

PROVE
POINT THE FIREARM IN THE SAFEST AVAILABLE DIRECTION.
REMOVE ALL AMMUNITION.

OBSERVE THE CHAMBER.
VERIFY THE FEEDING PATH.
EXAMINE THE BORE.

ONCE SAFE, YOU MAY PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEP.

DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN 3 INCH POUNDS OF TORQUE ON THE 5.56 OR 9MM MUZZLE BRAKE

INSTALLATION
STEP 1: ENSURE YOUR BARREL THREADS ARE FREE FROM DIRT OR DEBRIS.
TIP: WE RECOMMEND ADDING A TINY AMOUNT OF ANTI-SEIZE PASTE TO THE BARREL THREADS.

STEP 2: THREAD THE MUZZLE BREAK ONTO THE BARREL UNTIL IT IS FULLY SEATED. (RIGHTY TIGHTY)

STEP 3: SLOWLY UNTHREAD THE BRAKE (LEFTY LOOSEY) UNTIL THE TOP (3) GAS PORTS ARE FACING UPWARDS. THE LOCKHART LOGO AND TORQUE INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD BE FACING DOWNWARDS.

STEP 4: CAREFULLY TIGHTEN THE (2) SCREWS FURTHEST AWAY FROM THE MUZZLE END SLIGHTLY MORE THAN SNUG.

STEP 5: NEXT TIGHTEN THE (2) SCREWS CLOSEST TO THE FRONT OF THE BRAKE

TYPICALLY THESE BRAKES DO NOT NEED TO BE TIGHTENED MORE THAN "SNUG"

DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN 3 INCH POUNDS OF TORQUE ON THE 5.56 OR 9MM MUZZLE BRAKE
